SIXTEENTH WEEK

During this week we’ve been very busy because is the last week of classes before we go to do the practices in a company. That's why this last week we have to prepare two presentations one for the “Ikasempresa” class and the other for the last project that we are doing and also we are going to do two exams one of english and the other the project exam.

On the one hand, we have the presentations, we’ve done the Ikasempresa’s one on Monday in which we had to speak about the business that we created, exactly about the product that we were supposed to sell, how we have decided to product and sell that product (in our cas was a smart lock), where we were supposed to install our headquarter, which type of company we were going to be… And the other presentation is about the project that we are doing which is the ABB robot and with which we have to make a process of selection, painting, drying and finally palletizing of some pieces. The presentation of it is on Thursday.

On the other hand we have the exams, the first one is on Thursday andis the english exam in which we have to answer some questions about the course. And the second exam is about the project and we still don’t know how the exam is going to be but, we will have do similar exercises that we’ve than during the project.

As we have reached the end of the course, this is also the last  weekly actualization of Xuai, and as you could see and read we have been speaking about all the projects, exams, presentations and more that we done during the course. We learn a lot thanks of the projects, the Ikasempresa and English classes and you have been able to see our evolution from the first day until today.

FIFTHTEEN WEEK

We continue working in the same challenge as last week. We need to do a company real work.
Resultado de imagen de san blas abadiño"First of all, the robot have to start in a initial position, then the robot goes to pick a piece, and carry it to the camera. The camera take a photo from the piece, and we need to  distinguish if the piece is orange (good piece) and black (bad piece). After distinguish, the robot take the piece again, and if the piece is good the robot carry to cnc, is the place where the piece is machining. And if the piece is bad, the robot carry the piece to waste side and the robot start again.

In painting side, the piece need to stay 30 second there. To finish the cicle the robot bring the piece and leave it in dried up side. 

That is the program that we need to do in this challenge, last week after do some exercise to Jon, This week we haven´t got much time to do the challenge, because last thursday we have a general workout, and we haven´t come to the class, so we have one day less this week. But there everything doesn´t end, this monday too, we haven´t come to class, as 3 of february is San Blas day, so for that reason we dont come to class. We only come until last thursday, 3 days from class, so we haven´t aqdvanced a lot of, if not rather little.

FOURTEENTH WEEK

We have alredy started with the last challenge, this challenge consists in manage a robot, a camera and the robot program. He have to use the robot to take orange or black pieces from a ramp, the air suction cup takes the piece and moves to a place where is aligned with camera.
If the camera regconizes the piece as an orange, moves on to the CNC area but if the piece is black, the robot will move the piece to the waste area.


When and orange piece is taken by the robot, it places on a board. When the next orange piece places to the CNC area, that piece will be placed next to the previus piece and will continue until the board is filled.



When the board if filled the robot will take the pieces into the painting area and the procces will be be the same as the previous one. After the painting the pieces are moved to the dry up area.
The robot that we are going to use is ABB , the program name is Robot Studio, the camera is COGNEX and the camera´s program is IN-SHIGHT.

All of things are new for groupmates, we have never control  a robot and the start it was difficult. However, we are studying very fast, we know how to move the robot and how to take points. Also using the routines and now we are trying to understand the MOVEL OFFS, because there is a lot of things we have to remenber because we can't skip any step.

Also, we did the exam a couple weeks ago and all the group passed the exam. The exam wasn't very difficult but we managed to do it right and simple. The exam was about detecting and weighing some big and small pieces. If the weighing machine weighs the big one will take the elevator and move to a regular tray moved by the cylinder A and if the piece is small will take the elevator and will be placed on the electric tape.

THIRTEENTH WEEK


Hi bloggers.

This Thursday we have finished the Challenge 2 project.
He has entertained but has also had complications. 
Within the complications we have had difficulty finding the connections in the analog plc signal.

In addition, teachers have asked us to generate memories within the program and it was somewhat complex.

On Friday we had a programming test. It was not difficult after what we practiced with the exercises that were requested in the challenge.

On Monday we start the week with the presentation of the challenge to our classmates and teachers. Then we show the automatisms and the programming generated to the teacher.

We still had to make the project's touch screen, but we could show it to the teacher on Monday night.

We have started the last challenge this Tuesday.

In this challenge we will learn to use an ABB 120 robot and its Robotstudio software. We will also connect a camera to classify pieces by color with the In-Sight Explorer program.

In this last challenge the teacher Jon has taught us how to familiarize ourselves with the Flex-Pendat that is used to give instructions to the robot.

We are already in the middle of the week. 

Today is Wednesday and we have used the camera to process images with the class pc and we will begin the exercises to learn for the exam.
Today the teachers have asked us to assign ourselves one day of the week to use the robot because there is only one ABB 120 and we are five classmates in the Xuai group.


We are running out of the year and we will start working in the companies son.

TWELFTH WEEK

We are back again!

After Christmas holidays we return with more force than ever. This week as for the challenge we are trying to finish everything. On Monday while Iker was finishing with the panel programming and Ander was making the screen design the rest we finished with the exercises. The most difficult exercise was three was the automation of filling three deposits, but the biggest complication of this program was the use of analog variables, as there weren't many Simatic 1200 PLCs that the analog input worked so it was quite difficult.



On Tuesday we begin with the improvement of the panel, we focus on improving it aesthetically; sorting the cables, putting protectors, lining the panel and listing the cables according to the outputs to which they are connected. While Xabier and Iker G did this, Iker B and Unai continued with the PLC programming and Ander with the screen.



On Wednesday, we tried to end the screen, we had some problems since we did not control the Tia Portal well (the program we use) and we were watching videos about its operation was a hard work but in the end we got the memories and analogs to work correctly. We also got on the drive all the exercises already completed and we were reviewing everything that was missing to be able to do it on Thursday.

Tomorrow Thursday, we will try to finish everything that remains pending for doing the
last part of the program and ordering some cables that have been released from the panel and tie them better. Hopefully we can finish everything and be prepared for Friday's exam.

Friday's exam for what the previous groups who have done this challenge have told. It seems that the exam will have neither analog variables nor memories but just in case we will review it we cannot rely 100% on what the other groups say we have to try to overcome this difficulty by ourselves.
