WORK METHODOLOGY
The main methodology used in Maristas to work is in groups. This idea of work can be helpful for many situations, but also it can be a bad idea because of the following reasons.
On the one hand, work in groups is helpful to learn to communicate with your partners to be more efficient in the projects, also can make work less stressful because you have partners to lean on, if in occasions one of the members doesn’t have the concepts of the project clear has the help of the other teammates to ask about the doubts you have, favours creativity at the time of develop an idea because is more easier the “brain storming” between 5 people than 1…
On the other hand, the main problem of working in groups is the distractions, because the members tend to talk about personal issues outside the work.
Apart from this, it is common to waste time, since teammates do not always have the same opinions and because of it can be difficult to achieve a common position. Another important problem is the performance decline, if the groups are too big some of the partners can work less thinking that the labor of the rest of the group compensate their laziness.
On top of that, working in groups it can make you lose your individuality and the desire to overcome yourself by being satisfied with the minimum. And one of the most common problems of working in groups are the discussions, the teammates usually dispute due to the split of the labor, opposite opinions… Normally this happens because they spend too much time together and that creates friction, also the stress of the work and more.
In conclusion, working in teams it can be helpful for example: to develop an idea because of the different opinions and points of view of the members of it, learning to communicate with each other… But also in many occasions they may be discussions or the work can be affected because of the performance decline of one of the teammates. That why in Maristas they try to teach us to avoid this problems and reinforce the advantages of working in groups so that we can do our best at work.
